You should probably know that Nick Verto goes by the name Steeljaw on this forum and that he has already provided us with a link to his amazing work here:

That is correct. I finished the maps for Part 3 Shadow Rift of Umbraforge and posted them on enworld.org and cartographersguild.com forums.

I plan to just post to those forums for all future releases.

Consider this post as added encouragement - for the first time since i started playing in '83 our group has decent 1" maps in awesum res to use thanx again Steeljaw and keep up the good work.

Ps My players took 3 hrs in first session in the bar scene and ultimately lost the bar to fire -
The ranger broke into the store rooms and locked some of the fleeing patrons in there,
The barbarian used his AP and daily on MINIONS coz he had some bad rolls (he ignored me when i told him he didnt need to roll all those d12's.
The Pally missed EVERY single hit and didnt even get his challenge damage once.
The warlord acted like a striker running around trying to kill stuff, while ppl died.
The wizard set up a hit and run technique on the goblins resulting in him getting fried by biutumen.

I can see why this map wasnt on your list Steeljaw... but it was a fairly memorable way to start the game

Honestly the only reason I didn't make that one was because I had bought and use some different tiles to make a cool inn for that encounter. It wasn't until afterward that I got the software and decided to make the maps and post them. Sorry about that.

Haha, sounds awesome. My group unhooked the ogre and things got ugly after that. Needless to say it wasn't pretty but they lived.

I'd like to personally thank Steeljaw for creating and sharing these awesome maps. My party loved them so much that one player came up to me after the first session and thanked me in person "for all the work I did." I told him all I did was download, print and paste - Steeljaw did all the real work.

I found it really makes the encounters go faster to have a pre-fab battle grid waiting off to the side. Drawing out each new room by hand always seemed to take forever.

Just wanted to add my thanks for the work you've done on this project. I have all of the CC3 software and I was ready to attempt this sort of thing myself, but my group is right about at the same pace that you're releasing new maps (we're actually a little behind now, which is nice).

I've only used 2 of the maps, but my players loved them. I don't own a color printer, so I'm trying to figure the best way to get these printed without spending $1 per page at Kinkos. One of my players can print color for free at work, but I hate to spoil the maps for him!

Anyway, thanks again.

You're very welcome. For all CC3/DD3 owners stay tuned because I plan to release the CC3 FCW source files for all my maps soon. Then you can modify them to your hearts desire.

Hmmm, FCW format eh? Anyone happen to know if Fractal Mapper can read that format? Here's hoping....
