Has anyone made a different power sheet or power card generator that works with the Character Builder?  I really don't like how much room the power cards take up... I can usually fit four times as many powers onto one sheet when I do it manually in Word, but it would be nice if there was a way to get the powers into a different format directly from CB.  Has anyone made something like this?  If not, I might work on one myself... would anyone else interested in that?

Well, I decided I'd start working on one myself.  So far I managed to pull all the necessary data out of the character builder file, and the app lets you connect to the Compendium and pull the info from your powers from there.  Now I just need to make it all look pretty. ;)

Here's an example of a power sheet that just copies the style of the compendium but adds a line below with your attack bonus and damage:

I think I'll make two output formats to start with; one like the above that looks like the standard compendium entry with the powers in two columns per page (though I'll probably remove the "First published in" section since most people won't care), and one that's a more condensed format trying to minimize the space used up per power (removing the fluff text, combining lines of text, using abbreviations, etc.)

If anyone else is interested and is good with html or style sheets, it shouldn't be too hard to output into other formats as well.

After I get things working a little more I'll upload the app and the source code somewhere.

It's an exe, but it exports the power sheet as html.

Now see... that's how they should have done it in the first place... it even has the fluff text!

I love it!

Can't wait for your first publish!

(I'll be glad to beta test and provide feedback/ideas!)

If at all possible, why not give the user the option to remove fluff, "first published in" and combining lines of text/using abbreviations...

that way, if you want that sort of thing on your power cards you can still have it!

This looks very nice. I too agree that I wish the CB would display powers in that format... Maybe the devs are taking a look...
