| #1StazzDec 10, 2008 0:36:46 | Topic says it all. The program installed, locked up my computer, and now my computer is unable to start windows. System restore isn't able to run, and Vita's start up repair isn't able to fix the problem. Has anyone else had any issues with the character builder? |

I'm curious - did you reboot after installing .NET 3.5 SP1, before installing the CB? I don't recall if this was a step that was required or not for the Beta, but I'd, personally, be far more suspect that it was .NET that would break windows than the CB Beta. .NET makes a handful of system/registry/etc changes. However, the CB Beta is so self-contained that I carry my copy around on a thumbdrive and plug it into my laptop when I want to run it (Laptop has .NET 3.5 SP1 already). I'd be curious to see if it was truly the CB, or if it was .NET that broke your system. |
