| #1acarpenterDec 09, 2008 20:45:14 | After looking at this application, I am guessing it doesn't support the 3.5 system? Is there any plan's to support 3.5? I am guessing no? God tell me I'm wrong |
| #2elfDec 09, 2008 21:28:47 | It supports the current version of 3.5, if you have an older version of 3.5 you should get the service pack that Microsoft released for it. If you don't have it, the installer should install it for you. If you're having any problems at all, I suggest you get the latest version of .net 3.5 from Microsoft. |
| #3trailfootDec 09, 2008 22:17:45 | Character Builder doesn't support 3.5. In other news, the world is round, contrary to prior rumors, and heart attacks are unhealthy. It's a 4e tool. It's not going to support 3.5 ever. Edit: If you were talking about .net framework, I rescind my snarkiness and blame coincidence of version numbers. |

| #5acarpenterDec 10, 2008 8:28:45 | Well then, that just sucks!Character Builder doesn't support 3.5. In other news, the world is round, contrary to prior rumors, and heart attacks are unhealthy. |
| #6Aaron_HighcolorDec 10, 2008 10:43:15 | Well then, that just sucks! Why would you think that a company that is no longer making/supporting 3.x edition have their character builder support it? ![]() |
| #7malisteenDec 10, 2008 11:03:08 | There's no reason to think so*. Wouldn't have stopped it from being cool for the many 3.5 fans out there, and I would hardly blame such fans for wishful thinking, no matter how unlikely. So long as they don't blame Wizards for having to exist in the real world. *and many reasons to think otherwise. Not only is Wizards explicitly not supporting 3.5 any more, the quantity of 3.5 material, and the mechanical complexity of that material, makes a character generator like the one their trying to build here extremely difficult. |

Aren't there some excellent third party software tools around for 3.5? |
| #9mudbunnyDec 10, 2008 12:42:26 | Yup. Lots, and lots and lots. :D EDIT - This isn't meant to be snarky and/or condescending, but it gave me an opportunity to use the "Let me Google that for you" site, which I have been waiting to do for ages. |
| #10RevinorDec 10, 2008 14:34:48 | Yup. Lots, and lots and lots. Have you tried clicking it? Unfortunately, at some stage & character gets garbled and it is less funny than it should be... |
| #11mudbunnyDec 10, 2008 14:38:30 | Awwww crap. |

Yes, having owned E-Tools, it was very unintuitive and clunky to use (especially feats as more and more were added and more and more were not options that were available). I do prefer the CB personally. |
