#3 Elendur May 21, 2014 12:27:46	We don't know, but we did learn this from Mike Mearls:  The new D&D starter set announced doesn't have character creation rules.  However Mike said they there would be a way to create characters without having to buy a Player's Handbook.  That there was something between the starter set and the Player's Handbook.   Seems like that has to indicate something digital.  Either an online character builder, or online rules that you can download.

They just started taking beta applications for it according to their FB page (just search for Project: Morningstar). Looks like it's going to be multiple platforms: web, Android (2.3+ currently), and iOS with offline and online modes. It sounds like it'll have adventure info as well but of course nothing on pricing or details yet so we'll have to wait for more details but if all goes well it looks to be a more diverse and useful set of tools than what we got for 4e.
