#1 bk1 Apr 28, 2009 6:50:44	Hi! I am a DDI subscriber and I've found the Character Builder a great tool. As a DM I'd like my players to use it to build their PC. It is so useful to have their character sheets in digital format! Still they are not interested in subscribing to DDI and don't want to pay for other extras they won't read. I do not want them to use my DDI subscription. Is there any legal way to make them use the CB to build and manage their PCs? Is there something as a "discounted group subscription"? Can I give them a copy of the upgraded character builder and forbid them to use my DDI account? Will this create problems due to upgrade/installation limits? Sadly I think all the replies will be no. Too bad since CB is a great tool that enhances the entire D&D experience and it would be such useful for me as a DM. Group subscription would be great. Thanks!
#2 Forgarn Apr 28, 2009 8:19:59	There are actually a couple of things that you can do depending on how many people are in your group. 1. The CB can be installed on any number of computers that you want. You get 5 updates per month so you could install it on 4 other computers and then do not give out your information, but you log in to do the updates. 2. I have it installed on my laptop and I make all my players use my laptop to create their characters. I then print the character sheets out and give it to them. This is more work intensive for me, but i don't mind. At level up time then all level up on my laptop and I then print the new sheets for them.
