Character builder giving 'Configuration system failed to initialize' error, won't boot past splash!

Nov 26, 2009 18:27:52		Hi, since getting a DDI subscription, my character builder has been working fine until earlier this morning. When I tried to load it up, it gave me an error saying 'Configuration system failed to initialize', and won't boot past the splash screen. Trying to report the error from wizards gives me the same error when i'm trying to send the error report.

I've tried uninstalling it & .net, reinstalling it, uninstalling it & completely deleting wotc programs from my registry... No go. the 'demo'/unupgraded versions work just fine. However, updating it to the november version and running that version gives me this error.

Worse yet, i've hit the 5 updates install limit, so I can't even TRY and fix this error until its reset, (If they even do that) or until december 15th. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it? I'm running windows XP w/ SP3.
