Character Builder is a pain to install.

Jun 19, 2009 21:32:14		Because the CB needs the Microsoft .Net Framework, when I'm installing it on a new computer (5 updates per month, so I want my group to each have it) this always becomes a problem.

It usually goes like this:

1) I d/l and try to install the CB.

2) It locks up trying to install the .Net framework on it's own.

3) I curse, having forgotten to skip the first two steps and go find the .net framework installer from the Microsoft website.

4) With the .net installed, I go turn on the CB installer again, but it tells me it can't have two installers open, so I reboot the computer.

5) I try to rub CB installer again, and it locks up trying to install the .net framework.

I keep trying 4 & 5 until it finally installs, and sometimes I can't even get it to open after that. It's very frustrating.

Someone needs to go back and re-do the CB installer so this kind of nonsense is avoided.
