The FAQ says that a 1024*768 screen is required hardware. But the largest netbook screen is 1024 * 600. My question is what happens to Character Builder when you run it on these smaller screens? Do you have to scroll? Or does the whole system crash?

If you can wait until after the next update I can give you an answer. I have one at my house, but I have a total of 6 computers in my house that I do regularly use to build characters with (2 laptops, 2 desktops that are in different parts of the house with one with 2 methods of getting to windows that are seperate therefore need a separate install, and then a netbook). So far, I have not used the netbook for it since I have my laptops..but this next update while nice, will not be "earth shattering" enough that I need all of my comps to have the up-to-date version.

When is the next update? I ask because I am thinking about buying a new netbook but only if CharGen runs on it. (I have a mac for a desktop and new hardware is cheaper than a setting up a dual boot system on the desktop)

I run it an an OEM version of a MSI Wind U100. It has a 1024 by 600 screen and the Character Builder runs just fine. If you use the default zoom settings, you'll need to do a lot of scrolling on feat lists and other long lists (the main program window can be maximised to the screen without needing to scroll it). Your welcome. I wish more programs would have a zoom text function like this. It'd make using them on my netbook a lot easier. Just a simple feature, but a really neat one.
