| #1grimorianJun 22, 2009 12:43:56 | Once a character has reached level 2/4/6 so on and so forth, the power cards on the character sheets printer by the character builder do not take the correct ability score modifiers into consideration for the powers. The power cards pull the ability score modifiers from the base score column and not from the +1/2 level column. This has not been difficult to get around, but is still a bit of a nuisance and my players frequently forget to add their correct modifiers when calculating their power attacks and damage. This problem is still in play on the latest version of the character builder. I have verified this problem on 3 separate PC's as well so I am fairly certain it is a program bug. If others have seen this problem please respond to this post. Thanks. |

Are you sure its using the right weapon/implement for the attack? If its not, it would look off compared to what is should look like many times...but what you can do to help me help you is go to the Manage tab and then click on the "summary" sub tab and paste all the information there in a reply to this post..then I can recreate what you are doing and see if I have the same problem. It could be a matter of some selection that the system doesn't like...but I'm willing to give it a whack if you can get me the info. |
| #3grimorianJun 23, 2009 10:20:29 | Thank you for your response. | #4seanherring_dupJun 23, 2009 12:22:37 | Ok what is your lance of faith showing as your attack bonus? It "should" be +4 stat +1 for 1/2 level at level 2...gives a total of 5...which is about right for that level without a magic implement. |
| #5grimorianJun 24, 2009 9:23:02 | My lance of Faith power card on the character sheet shows +4. It is not taking the +1/2 level into consideration. This is the same for all characters I create and all modifiers. Could it have to do with my adobe viewer version by any chance? Thanks |
| #6seanherring_dupJun 24, 2009 12:48:58 | What I found when I inputed the information completely is that the attack is +5...im not sure what adobe would have to do with it...it doesnt use adobe for the character sheet viewer...are you using hte most up-to-date version of the CB? |
| #7ForgarnJun 24, 2009 15:21:09 | I just created the character and my is correct with a +1 for half level to all powers. |
| #8grimorianJun 25, 2009 2:05:03 | Ok, well I am feeling a bit silly now. I checked again, and the attack modifier is 5...so I am now thinking this question should be in a different topic...but if you will answer it for me I would be appreciative. Is the mod + 1/2 level applied to damage as well? If it is not, what situations other then bonus to attack is it used in? Again I apologize as I know this is no longer is the correct category, but I figure since I am here ;) Thanks |
| #9ah_graht_dupJun 25, 2009 14:08:38 | The + 1/2 level is not applied to damage, only stat, enhancement, miscellaneous, etc. + 1/2 level is applied to attacks, defenses, and skills. ![]() |
| #10grimorianJun 25, 2009 21:10:36 | Well thank you all for the clarification. I feel very noobish right now but I appreciate the information all the same. Thank you for your responses and assistance. Grim |
| #11dajonzOct 25, 2009 23:07:54 | Along those lines, do effects such as pulling a target (with my Avenger) that depend on modifiers also not use 1/2 level bonuses? They're also considered damage? |
