#1 Cathartic Mar 27, 2009 8:18:01	Hi, Before I subscribe to DDI, I want to check how the character builder is licensed and installed. Firstly, if I wanted to use the character builder from both a home PC and a work PC, would I be able to do so with a single subscription? Or would I need to take out two subscriptions? Secondly, if a friend has the character builder installed and licensed, would I be able to see my PCs from his copy of the character builder (with appropriate log-ins etc)?
#2 Webster Mar 27, 2009 8:23:46	You only need one subscription as you can download up to five updates to the character builder per month/update. Having said that your work computer might not allow downloads. (Besides, you should be working. ;) The characters are stored locally on your machine, not logging in. You would either have to copy your character to your friend's computer or build it using his computer.
#3 eleran Mar 27, 2009 8:31:59	My players all send me an email with their character files as they get updated so I can keep them on file and view them as needed. It works really well.
