| #1thudtheaceSep 13, 2010 21:04:13 | One thing I would like to see WOTC do is build the ddi character builder so I can select what rule set I'm using, IE., if I want my fighter to be based on the PHB or the essential line. I can't help but feel that once the Character Builder is updated all the old core rules will be thrown out in favor of the essential line. This would make it difficult for us sticking to the core rule books to use the character builder. This would match what I have been hearing on the D&D podcasts where the mantra is the essential line builds are extra options not mandated. I think this could be solved simply by giving the Character Builder the option of the build source: For example the list in the CB would look like (done in high tech text): ^Choose your class Cleric Player's Handbook Cleric Essentials Fighter Player's Handbook Fighter Essentials etc... Of course I could be completely off my rocker and need to take my meds... ![]() Cheers! |
