Character Builder run at 1024x600?

Mar 10, 2009 16:49:29 The requirements for the Character Builder say 1024x768, but does anyone know if it will actually run at 1024x600? I'd like to run it on a netbook, but haven't made the purchase yet.

Mar 11, 2009 0:32:59 You can download the trial/demo version for free. It won't be the most current version, but it should at least let you know if it runs.

Mar 22, 2009 21:23:06 I can answer this! I've got a netbook, and I run my Character Builder (free version) on it just fine. Now, I don't know what CB looks like on a regular screen, but on my screen, the only thing I've noticed that looks cramped for space is the item list when I buy armor,weapons, and all that. In CB's option section, sometimes I select the "fullscreen" option, and that let's me see the item section better.

I've really been pleased with my netbook. The only thing online I've had a problem with, as far as resolution goes, is if I were to watch TV shows from ABC--- their video viewer ONLY works on 1024x768. But for that, I simply adjust the resolution property to 768, and then when I'm done watching TV, I change the resolution back to 600. Works just fine! (And I've never had to do that with Character Builder; it works for me on my 600.)

I'm SO not a computer expert, but I'm loving my netbook. If you get one, I bet you'll find it's useful too! I can't wait to bring mine to D&D games as the ultimate toolbox. (I've already got my character sheet and random dice generators on it, ready to go.)
