The character builder is still using the `old' URLs for magic items, even though these URLs havent' worked for months. There have been at least two updates to the CB since the problem was reported; any chance that we'll see the right hand talking to the left hand this year?

+1 on hoping this is fixed soon. As a long-time DDI subscriber and iPlay4e.com user, it's frustrating when having to search in the comendpium as a backup for things while in gaming sessions due to broken URLs to the compendium that are embedded in the .dnd4e XML.

Ditto to what Morvai said. It's very annoying to have to referance the compendium because the character builder file has old URLs in it.

If you spot something like this and you haven't done it yet, definitely submit a bug report listing the specific items that are incorrect.  They can't fix it if they don't know about it.  And I would imagine these would be pretty easy things to fix.

You'd think it would be quick but I know other members of the iPlay4e community have submited bug reports and the URL issue hasn't been fixed yet in the past few updates (as chadley pointed out). I suppose it's just not as easy as we would think.

+1  Seriously!  How hard is it to fix this??  It's happening for almost every item!

Seriously! This has been broken for a while, and this lack of any acknowledgement, or proposal to correct is a sign of just how little they know, or care.

IIRC, if you submit a bug report they are supposed to either fix the problem or have an agent acknowledge and explain the situation within 14 days.  If they're not doing that, I would contact them again using your open case number and ask for an update and ETR if possible.

When you submit an issue they need to either

A: fix it
B: explain why they can't fix it right away, or
C: at least tell you something to make you feel better

before they close the case.  Personally, I've submitted many bug reports and in every case they have at least done one of those three things.  Yeah, sometimes they didn't fix my issues but they at least always had an agent acknowledge it and tell me how the case was being acted on, so at the very minimum I knew they were aware of it.

I can't imagine these would be difficult fixes but it's possible it's more difficult to fix than we know or that they simply have bigger fish to fry, or both.  Regardless, they should make the effort to reach out and attempt to satisfy you.  If they don't, keep on them about it.  It's their duty to their paying subscribers.

Still broken.

It's been, what, six months?

I mean, really. Should I open a ticket for every broken url separately?

That might work.
