| #1the_dukeOct 28, 2010 8:56:10 | For the computer masters out there: I'm running Windows Vista, and I believe I'm up to date on updates. I recently had a virus that required me to reinstall a lot of programs. I've reinstalled .Net framework, and re-downloaded/reinstalled the WoTC Character Builder. Ever since then, I can't get this program to open. I get the following error: ![]() Also, the following text accompanies the crash: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: TempRealCharacterBuilderUpdater.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 49c298f5 Fault Module Name: KERNEL32.dll Fault Module Version: 6.0.6002.18005 Fault Module Timestamp: 49e037dd Exception Code: e0434f4d Exception Offset: 0003fbae OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: a67a Additional Information 2: 5f1d1f81be20ff5b090d007f7ec4d02b Additional Information 3: f4d5 Additional Information 4: 582987afe00a3e45200ead9d1dee6561 Read our privacy statement: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=50163&clcid=0x0409 Any help is appreciated. |

You might try uninstalling the .NET Framework, Uninstalling Character Builder, and re-installing character builder directly. Let it install .NET Framework for you. I've noticed a few problems crop up lately which that seems to solve. |
