Is there any place that has or gives a rough idea of when updates will be availible to downoad for character builder?

is this done when new books are released(thus new content) or is there a schedule somewhere?

Just wondering when some things will be implemented is all (like higher than lv 3 or character visualizer)

if anyone knows or has a link i would appreciate it

thanks.

When you launch the character builder, right there on the start page is a box that gives a link to find out Character Builder info. You have to be connected to the internet when you open the character builder for the links to show up but they *are* there.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but how do you "upgrade" the Character Builder to include new content? I saw an article that implied the Barbarian class had been added to it.

This does kind of imply that the barbarian was added, but I could not find a way to update the builder to include it. I removed and reinstalled it without also without success. Was most likely a mistake or misunderstanding in the way it was worded.

In Digital insider #17, Randy says:

"Those of you who are already enjoying the Closed Beta will probably want to download the new version as well because it includes some UI improvements, bug fixes, and some new data (including October magazine content and large parts of Martial Power)."

Where is this update? The download link on the main page still seems to download the same version I had previously...

I am pretty sure that he is talking about the version that is supposed to go out next week when it slips into Open beta.

WoTC_DM stated as much in another thread. A bunch of stuff from Martial Power, etc., is going in upon release of the open beta. Then, probably in January, they will release a new closed beta with all of that plus more levels.

I did the same thing, and I was so excited to build my new rogue with powers from the new book Maybe the update fixed my printing problem were the page is cut off on the left when I print in landscape.

The new update is not out yet. Next week we will give more details but my sources say it won't be early next week.

We will post about it on the web page and here.

Actually, funny enough, I have to fix this error at my office all the time as it happens in outlook. Give this a try:

Open internet explorer
Click on tools - internet options - advanced
Go down to the multimedia section
uncheck (Always use cleartype for HTML)

The cleartype system monkeys with anything that prints using html processing as it all gets shoved through IE whether you use IE or not. Annoying Microsoft thing #457GH781
