Character Builder with Hybrid Multiclass using Haunting Shade

I'm designing a character but having trouble getting the character builder to cooperate.  It's a 4th level Revenant Psion/Rogue hybrid, multi-classing into Haunting Shade.  Unfortunately, the CB won't let me choose the Haunting Shade novice power; the option remains grayed out.

To see if it has something to do with the Hybrid class powers balance thing, I bumped the level up to ten; still no go.  So I changed the feats over from Haunting Shade to a random multiclass--Ranger--and then it wasn't a problem; at 7th level I could swap over one of the lower-level powers.

So why can't I do it with Haunting Shade?
