| #1LarniMar 04, 2009 16:40:04 | Has anyone else had a problem getting some weapons to show up under the 'Attack Workspace' and the 'Defence Workspace' sections of the character sheet in the character builder? It seems a bit clicky. I've been trying to build a Ranger but her long bow details will not show up -although it registers under the 'Basic Attack' (directly under 'Defence Workspace'). Is this a known issue of am I being a clot and missing something? |

| #4LarniMar 05, 2009 14:41:40 | While I'm here, anyone else an issue with half-elves getting languages common, elven and being prompted to pick another? Sorry for the questions but I'm new to all of this. |
| #5morvannonMar 06, 2009 5:48:43 | While I'm here, anyone else an issue with half-elves getting languages common, elven and being prompted to pick another? Wait, are you saying that's not happening, or that it is happening? Because if it is happening, it's supposed to -- half-elves get "Common, Elven, choice of one other" for languages. |
| #6LarniMar 06, 2009 6:45:22 | Sorry for the confusion. It's my understanding that half-elves can choose either Common or Elven as their starting language (so they start with one language). When I built one of my party's characters with the character builder I was prompted to choose a (non Common or Elven) language. The character builder then said that the half elf character had both Common and Elven; plus an third language that the character builder prompted me to take. The Players guide and the Compendium state that half-elves only get either elven or common. Where am I going wrong? |
| #7WolfStar76Mar 06, 2009 7:23:23 | Your mistake is in believing that they have to choose Common OR Elven. They start with both Common AND Elven (AND their choice of a third language). It's worth noting that their language line uses a comma after "Choice of one language" and not a colon. The use of three commas indicates a list. If it read "Choice of one language: Common or Elven" then you would get one, and only one of those two choices. |
| #8LarniMar 06, 2009 7:32:45 | Hi Wolf. I guess that's exactly how I read it: as a choice. Thanks for the clarification; I thought I was going bonkers. |
