I can't figure out WTH is going on with equipping a Monk in Character Builder

I tried to select  the "unarmed" option in the equipment tab, but it shows 1d4 damage, not 1d8 on the power cards, which is what a Monk is supposed to get. I can't find any "Unarmed Strike" in the equipment lists to equip the monk so that his power cards are correct.

What am I missing? I can't get the power cards to reflect the unarmed strike damage. The closest I can come is to "fake it" with a quarterstaff. The only options I am given in the equipment "Marketplace" are Staff Implement, Ki Focus, Dagger, Club, Spear & Quarterstaff.

Can anyone just tell me what to click to get this working right? Where do I look for the unarmed option?

Thanks.

I believe you can choose "Monk unarmed strike" as the weapon you equip on the inventory page

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

There is no "Unarmed Strike" on the inventory page that can be selected.

No matter what I put in the inventory, that option is not there.

"Monk unarmed strike" should be listed in your Inventory. CBE adds and equips it to newly created monks automatically.

If it's not listed there, it's probably because you deleted it. I can't find a way to restore it, so for now you'll have to scrap and rebuild the character.
