Character Loading issues

Feb 08, 2011 13:32:54 Is anyone else having any issues loading any characters at all? I am unable to load saved characters, load premade ones on the main menu or get past the choose campaign setting part of creation.

THis is new to today for me.

Feb 08, 2011 13:39:04 I switched to firefox and it worked. Not sure if it is a chrome issue or something else.

Feb 08, 2011 14:09:52 The only issues in Firefox (always use it for the CB) I am having right now is how painfully slow it is today. Normally I have no response time issues.

Hmm that is not happening for me and I am using Firefox as well at this point.

I just went in and looked at all of my characters to see the new cards on the character sheet and even created a couple of characters to check to confirm certain things were missing etc.

Feb 08, 2011 15:41:57 Another Chrome user here: I was getting the locking up error and the old version. After clearing all browsing data (not just the cache), I'm getting the update and the locking on character load seems to have ended.

I was able to fix the issue.

Things that did not work:

Cleared cache

Reloaded pages

Restarted browser

Rebooted PC

What did do the trick was to go in Firefox into Tools->Options, and then to the Privacy tab. There I clicked on the Remove Individual Cookies icon and paged down to the Wizards.com section. I clicked on that folder and clicked on Remove Cookies.

Everything now works and I see the new version number.

From my testing, a cookie update issue of some sort.
