Hello,

I've been experiencing a problem, since the full version came out.

In the character sheet viewer the Character Portrait is not displaying correctly, actually it is always displaying blank, as if there were no character portrait selected (the box for the portrait is there though).

I am running Vista 64 in both my machines, and both have the same problem.

What can I do to fix this? Already tested with all the sample chars, custom made ones also.

Thanks

PS: Already filled a bug report but there were no answer for a week now

Thanks for reporting this as a bug. We can't provide answers to every bug reports, but know that all reported bugs are first triaged by our Customer Service folks here, and then make their way to the Development and QA team.

In some cases we may request more information, but this should be the rare cases where we can't reproduce the issue ourselves internally.

Regarding your specific issue, we know that default portraits appear in the Character Builder but these default portraits are not displayed in the Character Sheet. If you select your own portrait using the Portrait menu in the Manage Tab, this portrait should show up in your character sheet.

We recognize the current behavior for default portraits is a little bit unsettling, but the reason they are not showing is because we do not have an option yet to clear a portrait for those of you that would like to hand-draw your portrait on the character sheet. This is in our list of issues to address, and is really something that only applies to the default portraits.

Actually the weird thing is:
When I select a custom portrait, either a sample one or a custom one, it doesn't show anything in the portrait area.
Now, when I select some JPEGs, the portrait are is entirely filled with some collor, which looks like the predominant color for the picture, but it looks like a plain, square solid box of "red" or "dark green"

New update: I have managed to isolate the problem. When I select a custom image, regardless of the format, the box will be filled with the first pixel's color (superior - left). Hope it helps.

Ok, try to mouse over the portrait and then use your mouse wheel. What I am suspecting is happening is that your character sheet portrait is all zoomed in, and you need to zoom it out.
The zooming feature allow you to select the part of the image you want to display in the printing.

Very weird. I had exactly the same problem (Vista home premium sp1, language Netherlands) and tried to zoom with the mousewheel.

1st time nothing happened
closed the sheet and made a new one
2nd try i got a part of the picture visible then it stopped half way...
at the 3th time it showed the picture right away but when i touched the mousewheel it went to one color
After that i was not able to get the picture anymore at least for a few times.
I also used several different images, but that did not help

Could this be the same problem as with the large fonts on power cards (i still have them) and be related to a different language then US?

I have a Notebook running Vista x64 Business in US-English, but country is set to Brazil, and a Desktop PC running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Build 7000, same settings.

Ok, thanks for the info. We have another issue we are investigating with non US Operating System settings (some power cards text is printed too large and make them unusable). Could you by any chance see if the behavior is the same if you switch temporarily to US country for your laptop OS on your machine, and report is the issue is still the same or not?
Also please remember that Windows 7 is a Beta and we do not do any QA with it yet. You are using the Beta version at your own risks.

On the Vista Notebook:
I changed only the FORMAT to US English, and the large text in the wizard's powercard is now fixed.
Also now the mouse wheel trick works, but if I exit the program and come back it is still broken. But then, if I save the change (mouse wheel thing) I made to the char, close the program and then open it again, then it is fixed.
Then if I change back to Format Portuguese Brazilian, the char portrait is fixed for that char, but if I use the wheel on it again, then it is forever gone and I need to discard changes and reopen the char file.
Hope it helps!
PS: Acid arrow is broke again after I changed the FORMAT to Brazilian Portuguese, also newly made chars still have the problem in this Format. Changed back to US-English and the new chars sheets are correct now.
