Apr 17, 2011 16:53:15 Perhaps this has been addressed already, but when assigning character portraits in the character builder . . .

1) Are there plans to update the available portraits?

A wider selection would be really cool, particularly since some good character art has been appearing in recent supplements (a lot of which is already online in the form of art galleries).

Some of the art is already on the CB, but just not available to choose for your character's portrait. For instance, the portraits that are attached to each of the classes would be great to have as choices--some of that art is really great, such as the one attached to the Assassin class (perfectly fits this character I'm building).

2) Is it possible to load your own custom portraits into the character builder?

And if so, how? I knew how to do it in the old 4e builder, but not this one.

Apr 17, 2011 17:17:55 I believe the portraits are fixed at this time.

I would like an option to simply omit the portrait, so I don't waste the ink.

Apr 17, 2011 17:39:49 I seem to think you can just not assign yourself a portrait, or select "no portrait" in the submenu, but I could be wrong on that point.

I haven't found the 'no portrait' button, but the Builder always assignes me a portrait; when I go to the 'details' screen, there's one there. I'll see what I can find, though, thank you.

Edit: Ah, you can select 'set portrait' and there's an entry for 'blank portrait'.
