Character Sheet "Other Equipment" Panel

Jan 28, 2010 22:39:32 On my character sheet the panel "Other Equipment" which shows torches, thieves tools, rations, etc. seems to not give the full list of items that I am actually carrying.

The "pieces of kit" I carry are a huge part of my roleplaying experience, and the DM loves it when I've got an accurate list when explaining my in-game actions rather than, "I swear I bought it in the Character Builder, it just doesn't appear on my sheet".

Please help save my DM from a debilitating aneurysm by allowing this panel to be customized and hold as many entries as desired by the player. I mean, the rest of the builder is so nice, why no simple text entry in this field?

Jan 29, 2010 18:27:02 I don't have the Builder open at the moment (Different Machine), but nothing in particular, I mean "silk rope" for one. What I mean is that there seem to be a finite number of slots for items in the "Other Equipment" panel. So, if let's say there are 12 slots there (again, I'm not actually looking at it now), then it seems like items, 13, 14 etc., whatever they are would be "cut off" of the list.

I suppose though, now that you mention it, it could be an "item specific" problem, like, certain things just won't appear there. Seems to me more like the "cut-off" issue. This panel should auto-expand to accommodate however many objects the character wants. Either way, that needs the ol' fix-a-rooni.

Jan 29, 2010 18:57:02 Is the Other Equipment section completely filled or are there some blank lines?

If it is completely filled, have you tried expanding the size of that area?
You do this by "Unlocking Panels" in the options tab. Then you can grab the bottem line of the Other Equipment and just pull it down, expanding the number of visible lines.

Does that work?

If you need more space, consider using some of the other areas (like campaign notes) to list more of the items you picked up along the way. In fact, this might be a good way to differentiate between what is in your "Bag of Holding" vs your "Saddlebags" vs your "Backpack".

Jan 29, 2010 19:27:56 All the lines are filled (13 lines I now see). I have not tried expanding the area, I didn't know that a "click and drag" might work, I will try your recommendation and let you know the results. Thanks for taking the time to chime in, I appreciate it.
