#1 tthorlord Mar 23, 2009 1:36:25	occasionally i play a game where a printer isint available and i find that getting access to character sheets in the CB or even the online Monster builder can be annyoing and cumbersome to use with more than one character sheet at a time. a feature in the CB to help aid this is prehapse a short character sheet viewer available from the main menu would be helpful in playing with multiple character sheets on the same computer. ideally, it would be a sheet as small as possible to allow for mutliple sheets on a screen at the same time. to minimize space items and attacks could be shown as text that opens a new window to briefly describe the ability. im also finding it cumbersome to make multiple monsters in the Monster builder. its not easy to save the monsters built from the application, the problem comes from that there is no way to save the monster easily. it would be easier if the description of the monster was shown as an .png image format wich could easily be imported into any assortment of image management programs. Or even easier, offer an online storage of Character sheets. this could be a VERY helpful feature that will allow for accessing characters made from both the CB or MB and could offer interesting opportunities for interfacing with the Encounter builder. whatever happens, these are just the problems i encountered through using the CB and MB tonight in my D&D game.
#2 Cailte Mar 23, 2009 5:40:29	Ah make the monster in the MB then copy and paste into a word processor... done, at least that is how I do it. Having Multiple Characters Open Instructions: Open any character. Open the character sheet. From the Character Sheet window click on File. Choose "Open in a New Window" Select appropriate character file, click open and wait a moment. Repeat until all needed characters are open. I suggest spending the time to organise a layout that provides the information you want so you can have it on screen at once. By Squeezing columns and wriggling around I can get the Defences and Hit Points of 6 characters on my relatively small monitor at once.
#3 tthorlord Mar 23, 2009 18:57:29	the problem with my Cut-and-paste of the monsters is that its hard to get more than two monsters on a sheet at a time, if it was displayed as an image, when i put it into Word i would have the ability to resize the monster display so i could fit as many as i need on the screen at once, or even better use any image displaying software for easy viewing of multiple images at once.
#4 odonus Mar 24, 2009 16:34:40	I also would like to store character sheets online because I'm always switching between my laptop and desktop. I guess I could try to see if Skydrive would work but I believe that would involve a file transfer operation and not a direct save.

#7 Xuub Mar 29, 2009 10:58:38	It can be used on iPhone, but you can also just use it in a web-browser. And you can store characters on it. Share them, and re-open them in the Character builder. Pretty cool tool. http://iplay4e.appspot.com/characters/

Put 1-2 monsters per column. Frankly if you are going to put tiny images on the page you can adjust the font size to be as small as you want as well. I prefer 10pt Verdana for mosters as its easier to read quickly *shrug*
