Dear god(s), or whatever diety you pledge your unflailing loyalties to, or whichever forgotten ancient being you and your line have loyally served in secret:

Let there be a place to save Character sheets as .pdf documents. I have no printer so I can't take it to my buddies to have it printed off there for tabletop gaming.

At the moment I'm reduced to print-screening and pasting in a word document. Gheto I know.

CutePDF Writer. That's all.

Native PDF export would be nice, but this works for the moment.

As clarification, CutePDF Writer is a free program you can download.  Once installed, it will appear as a printer in your list of things to which you may print.  When you print with it, you are provided a dialog as to where to save the PDF and, viola, you now have a PDF version of the character sheet.

4th ed. and the character builder are still new to me, so I may have missed an option, but an option to show all feats regardless of eligibility would be nice.

There's a little house icon in the upper right corner of the window that lists all the feats, if you select it there is an option for "show illegal elements"

I had a problem with feats come up in a recent play session. The character sheet lists the feats you have but isn't always very helpful in describing what those feats do. Might be better if the information was complete.

My specific example was the Mark of Warding.

The character sheet states: Increase all defense bonuses by 1, enhanced mark penalty, perform certain rituals.

Not exactly helpful while you're playing. It's missing the facts that the mark penalty is -3 instead of the normal -2, that the bonuses to defenses are only good if you use powers that increase defenses and that by "certain rituals" they mean Warding rituals as well as a handful of specific others (which would be helpful if you're in a town and going shopping for scrolls).

I wholeheartedly agree with this! My gaming group has been talking about this one, and here is what we have thought up:

For elements on the Character sheet (Class Features, Feats, etc...) have the ability to choose either a long or a short descriptor to print out. Some of them, the short is enough, but others definitely need more text.

For Feats and for Class/Race Features, you can just right click and edit the information there until it suits you, all that has to remain is the proper title.  When a class choice gives me two options I delete the part about "Choose between these two options" and then expand on the option I chose.  Makes things look a lot cleaner and makes it easier to find what I'm actually looking for.

(See my post on simplying the character sheet...)
