My work does NOT put any restrictions on installing or loading software-- I've never had trouble launching any other programs. The machine has the latest version of .NET installed and more than meets the requirements. They both fail the same way: I double-click the icon, I get the hourglass for a few second, and then it turns back into an arrow. And... that's it. No task shows up in the Task Manager, and nothing under Processes. They simply don't launch. Any theories? |

Also, they shouldn't even be checking ports until they've launched a bit further and are trying to update; and even then, CT/MB just tell you "I can't connect, so you must be up to date!" when they fail to phone home. At least, that's been my impression... <-- really wants to make characters at lunch. ![]() |
