I'm having some trouble selecting the multiclass feats for the warlord that were featured in dragon 369

From what I understand, the prerequisites for the Infernal Captains Pact multiclass feat is that I must take Pact Initiate: Infernal Pact

I made the warlord max level, just in case, picked my first feat, Pact Initiate. Go back to the class pane and choose infernal pact. However, I cannot pick anything but Novice Power for my next feat.

I go back to unlearn Pact Initiate, figuring it was just weird, when I notice that I can suddenly now learn Infernal Captain's pact in it's place. So I decide to just do that, and upon doing so makes taking the feat illegal i guess, because I no longer have pact initiate, making my character house ruled, and I can no longer learn any other of the multiclass feats

Bothersome. So I start to fiddle with it, and go and take pact initiate as a feat for 4th level, then I unlearn it for Infernal Captains pact, and then go back to first level and learn Pact Initiate some how. declare infernal pact, and still It counts as house ruled. I even fill up all the way to adept power and it still counts it as house ruled, and it also will not let me progress to Infernal Captain's Fury

Note that I can take the same route of fiddling by taking Hell's Implement instead of Infernal Captains pact, as both become available when replacing pact initiate, but both are house ruled against.

I do not know what I'm doing wrong here. I understand you can only multilcass into one thing, but I assume if a feat is a multiclass feat, especially if it requires another multiclass feat, you can still take it regardless of only being able to multiclass into one thing.

what am i doin wrong?

Afaik, it is a bug that you can not select multiple multiclass feats like that.

Press the house rule button in the top corner of the feats page and give yourself the feat anyways until we fix this bug.

The bug is fixed in the latest update to the Character Builder; note though that in order for Infernal Captain's Pact to be listed as an available feat, you need to have already selected the Infernal Pact choice for the Pact Initiate feat. That means if you want to take both feats as a level 1 human, or if you want to do all your feats at once, what you have to do is choose the Pact Initiate feat, click back over to "Class," choose the Infernal Pact option, and then go back over to the "Feats" section. Infernal Captain's Pact will now be available.
