Colour Of Entries in the Character Builder

I realized the Character Builder uses the colours used in the Players Handbook for power types. But I don't know why under Equipment/Items some of them show in RED...?

I think that red items in the equipment lists are equipment/whatever that you can't use or can't afford.

I don't think its that.


Some items I cant afford are black. Some armor is red and some is black.

It's more likely that character isn't able to use that item.  What kind of character are you making and what are some of the armor types that are showing red?

Red weapon and armor are ones you are not proficient in, and would not get the bonus for the weapon and a penalty for the armor. You can still buy and use them.

Also, if the OP is talking about equipment/item cards sometimes showing up with red on them, it's because those items have encounter powers.
