Combat Challenge Power Missing from Compendium

Dec 01, 2010 13:08:58 I know this probably isn't the place to post this, but the feedback link for the compendium doesn't work for me for some reason:

The Combat Challenge power, referenced in the Fighter class description in the compendium, doesn't appear in the class description or as a power that can be brought up by a search of the compendium.

Yes, it is in there. You need to change the combo box at the top from FEATS (which is what mine was set to) to CLASSES. Combat challenge was in there, plain as day.

*EDIT* You then pick the class (I picked fighter) and scroll through the description and you'll see it in there. Sorry for trying to take a short cut

It's actually a class trait, if you go to classes and select Fighter and scroll down quite a bit you'll find it.

Interestingly, the class feature says, "In addition, you gain the Combat Challenge power." What power is that????? Perhaps I misunderstood the OP who now, in retrospect, could have not have been clearer. But I didn't think CC was a power, but instead a class feature.

I see the class trait, it is the power referenced in the class trait that is missing.

Dec 01, 2010 14:02:53 Seems they changed some layout stuff and broke this because you're right. I know I posted about a missing power in a different class description something to the effect "Don't make me look this up in the compendium, it should be right in the class description like it always has been". But as you indicate, you can't look it up in compendium either.

Combat Challenge

In combat, it’s dangerous to ignore a fighter. Every time you attack an enemy, whether the attack hits or misses, you can choose to mark that target. The mark lasts until the end of your next turn. While a target is marked, it takes a –2 penalty to attack rolls for any attack that doesn’t include you as a target. A creature can be subject to only one mark at a time. A new mark supersedes a mark that was already in place.
[In addition, whenever a marked enemy that is adjacent to you shifts or makes an attack that does not include you, you can make a melee basic attack against that enemy as an immediate interrupt.]

Maybe they meant to replace that last paragraph with an actual 'power' entry - like an immediate interrupt basic attack type thing.

And because they didnt include the CBized Combat Challenge Power format (which was done strickly for conveniency untill Errataed), so its missing a part of the description in Combat Challenge text explaining how it fully function.

Especially that the Compendium list its source as the PHB for Fighter. So wrong.
