| #1the_exarchApr 29, 2009 14:00:09 | On the Power Descriptions and again on the Power Cards themselves, the proper CHA is being used for the attack box, but the powers themselves still state the original multi-class attack (e.g. Intelligence vs. Reflex, instead of Charisma vs. Reflex). Additionally, when creating a Half-Elf, the dilettante power is being modified by Combat Virtuoso (not sure if this is a bug or not). Finally, the initial multi-class feat that grants a power, the power grant is not affected by this feat (not sure if this is a bug or not). To reproduce all of the above: 1. Create a Half-Elf Cunning Bard, auto pick stats, and level up to 11. 2. First level take Arcane Initiate, and select any Wizard power (for example, I selected Illusory Ambush) 3. Select feats and powers as normal, but be sure to 3a. Be sure to select Combat Virtuoso at 11 3b. Be sure to select at least one power swap feat (like Novice Power). (for example, I selected Magic Missile encounter swap) Now look at the character sheet and power cards. You'll notice that the attack stats for the Power Swap (in this case Magic Missile) is correctly using CHA instead of INT, but that the dilettante power is also affected, AND the initial power from the arcane initiate feat (illusory ambush) is still using INT. Hope that helps, |

Here is the exact wording:When you use any attack power gained through a multiclass feat, paragon multiclassing, or the half-elf ’s Dilettante racial feature,... So the Dilettante feature and the power swap power should be modified. However, the fact that the original multiclass power is not is definitely a problem. In all actuality, none of them should be modified because the feat states that ...you can use Charisma for the power’s attack rolls rather than the ability score normally used to make the attack. You still determine damage normally. Can being the word that I have the problem with. Unless WotC can come up with a way to let you select whether or not you want to use Cha instead of the original attack ability. |
