I finally saw the "COMING SOON" up on the graphics of your D&DI pages. On behalf of all those folks I handed D&DI flyers to on the week-end... many thanks.

That was an amazing feat, and I applaud it. Why, it must have taken at least 10 man-minutes to open photoshop, make the alteration, and then ftp the file up. Praise the beneficent Overlords!

Jun 10, 2008 19:11:23 I am sorry but merely putting Coming soon under the banner and not changing anything else or linking to Kens post in the forums STILL does not tell the average customer what is going on with DDI development nor does it do anthing to explain why WotC did so little to let the public know that their plans had changed from what they had been advertising.

WotC You STILL need to link to some information... Coming soon as a VERY small start.

There again I am one of those people that do not exist according to a design team member because I am on dial-up.

Changing the banner is a small step.

Even the FAQs of D&DInsider is lacking any real indication of what is going on.

Plus, people that have the image in their cache will likely not see the updated COMING SOON for quite some time.

I conceed that what they have done is the BARE MINIMUM.

They should have been much better prepared at launch.

Why did it take days and days of badgering from the fans to ellicit such a threadbare response?

That's not going to clarify anything for the many people who are obviously hunting around the site thinking the tools are available. The FAQ reads as if they're available, still. The descriptions to each item reads as if they're available, still. The *only* thing that indicates otherwise is one "Coming Soon" in a banner.

No sir, that's not good enough, not by a long shot. The pile of fail is getting bigger by the minute.

One small step for a graphic artist, one giant leap for Wizards!

If we keep thanking them for things maybe they'll keep doing things. I guess the trick is to only ask for one thing at a time. Let's ask for a forum sticky which says "Official Announcement: D&DI is coming soon." Friday, we can ask for a link on the site actually saying that D&DI is not available, that they are working on it, etc. Next Tuesday, we might get the FAQs updated. etc. By the time everyone knows it isn't ready... it will be ready.

Personally, I still appreciate the "Coming soon". I gave out a lot of those flyers and most of those folks have my e-mail address. Better they e-mail WotC rather than me. ;)
