In this adventure, the PCs investigate the link between the orcs and the dark ones, stumbling into an arms- running operation bridging two planes, and finally confronting the charismatic figure behind it." .... When do the PCs learn this? Am I completely missing a whole section, not once does any one find any information on this. I know I need to give the Dark One the key to the portal, but where do I put this information? |

Likewise, they also found a bronze key on one of the Shadar Kai in Siege when you tell them about it at the beginning of the Umbraforge module. There exists the possibility that these modules were written without an excess of communication between the authors. |

There is a Shadar-Ki that know this and may impart this information to the PC's in the middle of their investigation of the Umbraforge Skill Challenge. Her name is Leena, an her role starts on page 29 (Friends on the Inside). Finally, Sarshan himself may just brag about it to the PC's if you get a good dialog going. All in all, the players have plenty of ways to find out Mordra's dirty past, and Sarshan's future evil. If you didn't give the PC's the Key in the previous module, you'll have to just give it to them as something they "found" or come up with an encounter to put it in their hands, then have the PC's hunted by it. One last idea is that Mordra thinks the PC's have it and they have to actually find one under the Happy Begger. They'll be confused, but hey, even bad guys make mistakes! |
