Because of this and because of the fact that me and my friends have a very large 3.0/3.5 collection we had no intention of upgrading to 4.0. Instead we took advantage of the cheap 3.5 books and stocked up we have something like 40 books between just a few of us. Issue is as you know Dungeon Magazine is upgraded to 4.0 also. I wanted to get a subscription so we could get new adventures all the time and stuff, but are they going to be difficult to convert down to 3.5? Is the subscription even worth it if I'm not upgrading to 4.0? (Note: yes this same post was made in "previous edition" but I thought it would actually be more fitting here):P |

You'd basically be mining a 4E adventure for plot/ideas/maps -- all the stat blocks you'd need to generate by hand. In this respect a 4E adventure is probably even harder to convert to 3E than a 1E or a 2E. I wouldn't bother. On the other hand, there's also a huge wealth of 3/3.5 adventures out there that are also probably dirt cheap now. |
