Cookies Disabled?

Jul 22, 2008 1:13:57 When I go to the wizards site it says I need to enable cookies or else D&D insider won't work. I have it so I'm asked if I allow a cookie or not, and I do allow cookies for the wizards.com domain.

So does anyone know which domain the wizards site is trying to give me cookies from that I've accidentally disabled? By the way this message wasn't appearing yesterday and I haven't accepted or disabled any cookies for the site between now and then.

Jul 23, 2008 23:10:24 I had the same problem. No idea why. Ishut down Zone Alarm (my firewall app) and then I was able to get in. But I'm not sure if it was actually ZA, or just a server glitched that fixed itself around the same time.

Jul 24, 2008 10:32:06 They appear to have been fixing the problem discussed here http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1058112 on the plus side, that problem looks to be fixed, and you may have only encountered a transition bug.

Also, the D&D Insider login square does not show up.

This occurs on both Safari and Internet Explorer(PC).

Jul 25, 2008 21:53:48 I started getting it only on the front page, but now I get it on all pages, and I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.10 on FC5.

Aug 06, 2008 23:03:48 I figure out the problem. Wotc has started using hitbox(a third party) and require you to take their cookies.

I have accepts cookie but not from a "third party".

All of wotc pages with a login screen now use this requirment.

I use amazon.com, buy.com, blizzard.com, hasbro.com and other websites without this problem.

Aug 14, 2008 11:44:27 I was unaware that the code was causing the popup even after some people have accepted the domain cookie from wizards.com ... I will attempt to duplicate the problem and see what can be done to fix this.
