Is it just me, or does this boon not properly add the Encounter/Daily power to the Power Choice Checklist? I see the At-Will/Encounter power there, but not the other one.

You're correct, it's currently knackered. The encounter powere as a dailly doesn't show up. Annoyingly.

And it's still knackered even after the update. Ho hum...

You make the choice when you use the boon's power and can choose a different power each time, so it doesnt really work well with the CB.  They cannot add all possible arcane powers to your character.  If you have a few powers you normally use you can use the houserule button to give them to yourself.

If that is true, maybe we should be mentioning this in the DMG2 errata forum.  That interpretation certainly seems to be overpowered.  I think most people thought that the boon gave them a single encounter power to be used as a daily power, chosen at the time the boon was granted -- and that would seem to be a more reasonable way for this boon to work.

On re-reading the Boon's daily power it looks like that's the way it's written. I'd originally assumed it was like a built in wand - choose the power on "construction." However, if the designers wanted it to act like a built in wand they should have written it down slightly differently - put the choice of the encounter as daily power in the property section for instance.

I now want all my Arcane characters to start stocking up on this boon, it's rather sexy and probably a rather large target for much nerfage.

Cheers,

Ash
