Since WOTC is starting to charge a monthly fee in the middle of the month(oct 14), will the month of oct. be reduced since you won't be getting a full months of content? 2. Will all the free articles that have been posted so far still be availble to people that did not subscribe to DDi? |

Since WOTC is starting to charge a monthly fee in the middle of the month(oct 14), will the month of oct. be reduced since you won't be getting a full months of content? 1) The subscriptions start on the day you sign up, so if you sign up on the 14th of October, your subscription will end one year from that day. (Depending on the length of your subscription of course.) 2) As Randy mentioned here: ...the first several online Dragon and Dungeon issues will stay free as well. Note that the feature articles from the October issues will disappear behind the firewall tomorrow with the exception of the Barbarian playtest article, which we are choosing to leave as a free sample article. Hope that helps! |

| #4WolfStar76Oct 14, 2008 11:56:38 | So wouldn't it make sense to sign up right before the October compiled issue goes live? What I'm suspecting will happen is that the compiled issue will be posted to the website, and post-dated to whatever the last day of the month is for that issue. Example: Let's say it takes a full week to compile the October issues, so tey're not ready until November 7th. I expect they'll be published to the website with a date of "October 31st" so that anyone who had an active subscription on that day will get a copy they can download - even if their subscription expires on the November 5th. That or they'll merely flag accounts with "Oct08 Subscriber" and grant magazine access based on those flags. If I'm right (and I'm merely speculating) that would mean a one month subscription today (From Oct 14 to Nov 13th) would get you articles from now until your sub expires, and the October issue - but not the November issue. |
| #5aberzanzoraxOct 14, 2008 12:22:57 | It had better. If I subscribe on November 1 for one month, i.e. Nov 1 through Dec 1. It would be ABSURD if I didn't get the compiled November issue. It would be great if there was something official to allay any fears regarding this. Wolfstar76, I share your assumptions, but fear that there is no real oomph to back them up. |
