| #1bettandAug 14, 2008 14:28:47 | So while I like Dragon Mag articles online, what's the point of using magazine cover art and the magazine format at this point? While the content itself has been excellent thus far, why not just give me 10-15 new articles a month for Dragon and 10-15 for Dungeon. Make them look all nice with pics and a readable layout. But why invest the money to design real magazine covers still? Go all digital already, Wizards! Why are you still paying for mag illustrators, anyway? Shouldn't any extra money, time, or other resources all be aimed at getting the site launched in full already?! I mean, you have this great new game but have been so slow getting the rest of the stuff up & running (I know, rehash). OK, I have vented. |

| #3john_paul_stoddardAug 14, 2008 14:52:16 | Well personally I am glad they are "wasting thier time and effort" on the E-zines since they are the only resources I am interested in. Artwork and Cartography are more important than Digital Suppliments I never will use. |

Somebody find the rift to the negative energy plane that is gaping open on this website and seal it. |
| #5bettandAug 14, 2008 15:12:00 | OK, it seems you misunderstood me. I will say again. I love the content. I utilize it all the time. I can't wait for the website to be up & running. What I don't get at all why Dragon magazine uses magazine cover illustrations, still. That's it. Look at the Dragon online, why still make a print cover and post that online? That takes more time & effort then staying digital the whole way through. If it is a design choice, I can get that. They want it to appear like they are still printing a magazine even though they really aren't. Better? |

| #7bettandAug 14, 2008 15:20:58 | Huh, am I missing something here? I am never the negative nellie. I post here, there & everywhere. But does anyone else find it odd that the Dragon cover art is still mag illustrations? And beyond that, to protect my ego and what rep I don't have, has everyone else read through my posts to see that I have been praising them, also? Why the team-up? |
| #8PhobosAug 14, 2008 15:32:04 | Huh, am I missing something here? I am never the negative nellie. I post here, there & everywhere. But does anyone else find it odd that the Dragon cover art is still mag illustrations? I haven't looked, so I don't know, but the term cover art. Is that implying it's location to the magazine or that the art is being done on paper, then digitally scanned? I assumed the art work was being done digitally, and its only a reference to its location. Regardless if you're paying someone to do it on paper, then scan, or on a computer, you're still paying someone. I'm not really sure there is a difference. |

Although they are E-zines, they are still Magazines in form. If I ever print them out I want a cover sheet, which I can readily identify..other than a Page that say Issue 156 Issue 157 Issue ? etc..etc.. |
| #10bettandAug 14, 2008 16:24:15 | Ahhhh, now that makes sense I guess. I just read this stuff online. Thanks for taking the time to give an answer I missed. I really love this game and hate feeling like a hater...my bad. |
| #11DMapleAug 18, 2008 10:07:55 | So far all the covers have been linked to actual article content, so just consider it art for the article if it bothers you so much. It's not like they could higher an additional programmer and get them up to speed on the other DnDInsider programs for what they pay an artist to do the covers. |

The cover art gives each issue a nice header for its table of contents, for one, and the internal art lends a lot more flavor to the magazine. The fact the 4e art has just so massively improved from much of the older art is just another huge reason to keep it! |
