Current Character builder download dragon issue 280...... why not 281

Dec 15, 2009 15:39:27 Why is the character builder only updating Dragon issue 280 that was 2 month ago? We are currently in issue 282, so why isn't 281 in this character builder download?

Dec 15, 2009 16:35:53 Months chosen arbitrarily to make a point. Don't quote me on them.

So originally the June Dragon was put into the July release of the tools, which happened at the end of July.

Then it got pushed back a bit, so the August Dragon was in the September release of the tools, which happened at the start of October.

Then came the holidays. Now the October Dragon was included with the November release of the tools, which happened hid-way through December.

In theory the December Dragon will be included with the January release which will be released in early Feburary, as they'll go back to the early month schedule after the holidays. In theory.

Dec 15, 2009 21:39:21 Last month the rogue essentials and the winning races halfling came out before the character builder update (I mistakenly thought they would be in that update). When they weren't in that update, I thought oh well I have to wait another month, well now I have to wait another month...

Dec 16, 2009 22:11:44 It's rather irritating. I was really looking forward to the the Vistani, that I got, and the Rouge Class Act that I'm still watinging for. Being late on the update issue wise is one thing, but having something from the issue and not everything from the issue is really kind of grating.

Dec 17, 2009 6:50:07 Yeah, and the Feywild Spells article isn't in it either, which is bad since one of my players wanted to Retrain his Eladrin Wizard PC into the at-Will in it! Yeah, way to drop the ball here, WotC.

As far as I know all of Dragon 380 is in, which is the only Dragon that we included in this months update. We do one Dragon each month.

It's rather irritating. I was really looking forward to the the Vistani, that I got, and the Rouge Class Act that I'm still watinging for. Being late on the update issue wise is one thing, but having something from the issue and not everything from the issue is really kind of grating.

Vistani was from 280, Rogue CA was from 281.

Yeah I went back and checked and saw that. Think it's the fact that the December update is updating the October Dragon threw me off, instead of updating November. As it used to update the previous month and now updates 2 months previous instead.

Dec 22, 2009 7:24:51 Much as I really want that November content already in WotC's defence they are still on the same scheduel. However due to the timing of the holidays they pushed the November, December and January updates back to the 15th of the month instead of the first Tuesday.

So they are not 2 months behind, they are following the announced scheduel no more than 2 weeks behind the normal scheduel.

Dragon and Dungeon content is always a month behind, it is just more noticeable now with the updates in the middle of the month so we are waiting longer to get it.

I mind you really wish the mid month update scheduel stays, but that the Dragon and Dungeon content is caught up so it is only 15 days behind instead of a month.
