| #1panicsApr 12, 2010 15:24:25 | Hi, I was wondering why my Character builder is always reverting to the Base Portrait and never keep my custom portraits even if those are in the root portrait folder !? Win7 Ultimate and WinXP Pro Root installation Portable HD for character save I work on multiple computer and I always have to re-set the portrait. Thank you |

The default one that the CB looks for and reverts back to when it updates is in your Wizards of the Coast folder. The other one (at least on my pc) is in the my documents area. My custom portraits are in the my documents area so I have to always change to it to find my custom portraits. I am not sure what would happen if i were to transfer all of them to the WOTC folder area. Dont know if they would get deleted when updated. I guess I could always copy them there to see what happens here in may. |

I have not found a way to make the Character Builder reliably keep a portrait straight when the portrait is on my computer. Typically, the connections break on any upgrade. if I use Google Images to find a portrait, and paste the URL into the Character Builder, it stays good as long as the portrait remains at the specified location. |
