Custom characters lost, only loading generic pre-builts

May 17, 2011 14:42:19 Hello all...trying not to panic here, but I just launched CB today for the first time in a few weeks, and found that all of my custom characters are gone. In their place are 16 generic pre-built characters, all of which have a label of "Kalarel" on the main loading page.

I'm trying to run this from Chrome, but I tested it with IE 9 and Firefox 4 and got the same result. I cleared my cache and cookies and re-launched, same issues.

I tried to go into bug reporting for CB, but that leads me to a "not found" page. Might want to get that fixed, guys.

So? Am I screwed here?

May 17, 2011 15:04:27 You're screwed. Your characters are gone forever unless you press the Load button. ;)

In all seriousness, if they aren't there when you press Load then you got a problem.

May 17, 2011 15:08:56 OK, never mind, I'm being an idiot. When I pressed load, they were all there.

(Was that the way it always worked? I thought you used to see all of your characters on the main screen that displayed? Do I need to start drinking? Would that help?)

May 18, 2011 12:25:46 I honestly can't remember if that's the way it always worked, but I don't think they had the pregens on the Home screen when it was first released. I can't remember if you had to press Load at first or not. But anyway, glad you didn't have a more serious problem.
