I want a couple of custom built item in the games listed on the character sheet, seeing as this is kinda a staple to common sense i assume i have simply failed at life and have yet to un-cover the location of this feature, any advice?

No, you're not missing anything.  Outside of adjusting ability scores outside the 22 point standard buy, there is no house rule/custom item support in the Character Builder.

..... i suppose i could write them out, but wouldn;t that just defeat the purpose of paying for all of this?

Funny, I thought part of what we were paying for was a Character Builder with all the things that Wizards designed.

Even the old CB was piss poor at managing houseruled creations. Sure, you could create a houseruled feat and save it in the old CB. You would still need to account for it by hand, because the old CB might let you take the Feat, but it would not account for the Feat in any of its math. The same is true of every other home creation.

Wizards has stated their intention to allow greater houseruling functionality, but in order for that functionality to be truly worthwhile, the builder will need to incorporate those houseruled creations into its formulae, which is something I don't really see happening.

Simply allow for a custom built group of effects, powers, aura, and damage add to any given wepaon i would think

I would simply like to see custom items.  If, during my adventures, I come across a whittled figurine I'd like to be able to create an item card for it and have it print on my character sheet as an item card.  The old CB let me do this.
