I have received and email three times that says,

Unfortunately a credit card authorization failure prevents us from renewing your membership at this time.

I have called customer serve FOUR times and been given no help at all. I have had  TWO people I spoke to actually hang up on me when I asked for their names. I am very upset with the deplorable customer service I have gotten from DDI. I will not continue my subscription after my current game wraps up in a few months and may never play DD again. I am that frustrated; after two decades of playing I am done. However, I need to finish the current game I am running and would very much like to get my subscription working again, at least for the next few months. After two hours and three phones calls I finally got someone at customer service to help me and we figured out what was going on with the account. Still, until WoC can do better than this I am done. After my gmae wraps up I will be moving on to other game systems.  This is not the first time I have had terrible customer service over DDi. WoC, it seems, has outsourced this end of things to the wrong company and needs to get some people in charge of thier billing that know what's going on. I have lots of online subscriptions and this is the worst managed subscription I have ever seen hands down.

I just wanted to report that Chuck from WoC contacted me via email after he was made aware of the earlier post. His email was a very pleasent suprise. Now that I am calm I am not quite ready to quit DnD forever. I still think the company managing DDi billing is terrable, but Chuck's email helped to remind me that most of the people that actually work at WoC are great. They really do want to put out the best product possible and, for the most part, are succeeding. The character builder and monster builder are very impressive and all of the published materals are great. I have some hope that WoC will be able to fix the problems that currently exisit if we give them time. For now I will maintain cautious optomisim.

Oh, and mudbunny, thats for calling attention to my post. I am grateful.

All I can say is that these problems crop up constantly and even though this one has been handled in a quick and efficient manner, most of the others haven't. If the problem is with the subscription company it might be time for WotC to start shopping around for another one.
