| #1CorrinAvatanOct 18, 2011 22:00:10 | So, I'm getting an issue where the pages of my character sheets are getting cut off. I have about an inch and a half of blank space on the top, and the bottom of my character sheets are getting cut off. You can see what I mean here: twitpic.com/72g9s0/full This happens on all versions of the character sheet, on all printers, and even when printing to PDF. Anybody else having this issue? |

| #3sythspawnOct 19, 2011 12:04:35 | I've been having that same issue for months now. (Yes, I'm making sure it's set to Letter size.) |
| #4AuricRAvenhelmOct 22, 2011 21:12:40 | I have the same issue as well |
| #5Kired25Oct 23, 2011 1:15:00 | For some printers there is a "printable surface" option that forces the files to print on the page rather than cutting the page off. If your printer has that it may solve your problem. |
| #6CorrinAvatanOct 23, 2011 8:49:09 | I'm printing to PDF: I don't have an option for "Letter" or "Printable Area" or anything like that. |
| #7_Mithreinmaethor_Oct 23, 2011 9:35:16 | I'm printing to PDF: I don't have an option for "Letter" or "Printable Area" or anything like that. What program are you using to print to pdf? There should be options in the settings for the program as to how to print it. |
| #8CorrinAvatanOct 29, 2011 21:27:33 | I'm printing to PDF: I don't have an option for "Letter" or "Printable Area" or anything like that. Actually, there isn't. I'm running on a Mac, which has a native print to PDF support. Anything else I print to PDF, there is no issue with stuff cutting off. It's only CB stuff. |
| #9sythspawnOct 30, 2011 0:56:21 | I'm printing to PDF: I don't have an option for "Letter" or "Printable Area" or anything like that. I am also on a Mac. Who'da thunk the native PDF support would be an issue? |
| #10DanBackslideNov 01, 2011 21:56:21 | I'm also on a Mac, and I'm seeing the same thing. It doesn't seem to be a problem on the first page, but pages 2 on start a bit lower on the page. Doesn't matter which browser I use, I've tested it on Safari, Chrome and Firefox, all give the same results. |
| #11sunrisekidNov 05, 2011 21:08:34 | I'm also a Mac user also but observing slightly different symptoms with native PDF printing. Rather, I notice that the powers are printed with the bottoms clipped, such that it doesn't indicate usage check boxes. |
| #12g-tNov 14, 2011 16:53:40 | Me too! Native PDF printing cuts off the bottom of all the character sheets with a large gap at the top of the page. The character sheet looks like it is offset from the top margins by an inch or so. I've made sure to select 'scale to fit paper size letter' with no effect... I'm also only seeing this issue on my Mac ![]() |
| #13FlashBIOSNov 17, 2011 14:36:26 | I too see this issue on my Mac. It is browser independent and happens regardless of page size. I assume it is a bug with silverlight itself. Hopefully MS fixes it or that Wizards can come up with a work around. |
| #14kenjoonNov 18, 2011 6:56:32 | For those having problems on the Mac, is it a problem ONLY with the native (built in) PDF printing, or is it broken even if you install something like CutePDF? |
| #15sythspawnNov 18, 2011 8:08:59 | It's a problem with printing AND printing to/generating PDF. I haven't tried another PDF generator. I suppose I could, but it seems redundant when I already have the capability. Is CutePDF available for Mac? |

A quick check of each shows they are all windows only (even the one on sourceforge.net). |
| #17DanBackslideNov 19, 2011 12:57:54 | A full version of Acrobat will install its own PDF printer. AFAIK that's the only non-native PDF printer for the Mac. |
| #18GreenOnionFeb 10, 2014 7:10:44 | I've never spammed four different threads with the same post before, but I had to this time!
I know for many this will be too little, too late, but I finally found a solution for the sheet cut off problem on Mac OSX. This, after having set up an Oracle VirtualBox on my MacBook to circumnavigate the issue.
Here is the simple solution that worked for me. It was hidden in plain sight, so to speak. What a nightmare that was.
