D&D and the new times...

They finally informed about the inactivity of the promised tools, I hope them to give more information about their plans from now on, nothing new for me though, but I thank them to open the eyes to all this people who thought that they still were developing these tools, I hope next time not to take so many months for that.

I honestly don't understand why wotc took that decission, any programmer knows that it is relatively quick and easy programming this kind of software, besides nowadays the future are online games, the tendency of the most people is just to split the party, this is a natural law, as you are getting older less oportunities to carry on with your party, so their slogan "Never split the party" is just utopic for me.

This VTT and the rest of tools would have created a big community of online gamers, and this was the most important goal not only for the people who's not able to play sitting in a table anymore but for the rolegame.
Yes, there are several software to play rpg online, the problem is that they don't call themselves D&D, so they don't have as much community as D&D would, more community=more chances to play.

I am sure this will appear in the future being Wotc or a different one, but in any case I hope before it's too late for the rolegame.
