I really dig this format... it'd be awesome if CB offered the ability to export to a one-sheet format like that.  It'd be cool to make my own character, but still have the slick pages that others do.

(Can't wait for wednesday.  I think I'll use a pregen just cause of that neat format!)

I agree 900% with this.  Just have a button somewhere to "Generate Character Card" and it'd pull the background color from the power source, add the basics from the chacacter file, and use the current chosen PC photo.  I'd love to be able to generate these for pregen characters for delves, con games, and such.

Also, one critique of the character card format.  I love how the background color instantly tells you what power source of the class, it would be great if there was some sort of visual implementation of the role of the class as well, maybe as an icon or border design?

In the meantime does anybody have a template that we might use, even if its a manual process?

I searched here and at ENWorld with no success.  I wish I had the photoshop skills to attempt such a template.

Haven't found a template either, but I third this idea.  Awesome design.  I've also found that in general newbies find the character cards less daunting than the sheets.

Please powers at be at WotC make this a possibility!! Laughing

When asked previously they have said "will look into it", but given the resources available to them....

This is why the ability to implement our own formats would be so much more powerful than having to depend on them - opening up this sort of format stuff to us lets us take on some of that burden.

It isn't like the layout of the character sheet is sacrosanct.

(Note use of us above is "the user base" not including me, who has no such skills.)

I saw the pdf's of the pregens for both encounters and gameday floating around... I don't have acrobat full version, but if someone could verify that you can open them up and manipulate them (even if just to create some basic template stuff) that'd be awesome.

It is not too late to join the season, you'll simply want to find a friendly local gaming store that is participating.  They should have pregen sheets for you as well.
