I know WotC claims it is not a new edition, but if all my old books are no longer supported in the CB I'm going to be very upset. Any news? |

Everything currently in the books you own will remain in the Character Builder. A few items will likely be receiving errata at the same time, but it sounds like they will be few and far between. The Melee Training feat from PHB2, for example, will give a smaller bonus to damage - I think that's the most significant one we've heard of. Magic Items are gaining a new classification for rarity, which will probably show up in some fashion in the Character Builder - but likely be easy to ignore for a game that doesn't worry about such things. The only real question is whether some of the monsters in the Monster Vault (which sound like it will have a handful of updated monsters from the MM) will be overwritten in the Monster Builder or Compendium. But that shouldn't affect characters and the character builder in any way. |
