An interesting point was brought up by The Rouse:
“Dungeons and Dragons Insider” has doubled subscribers base since January.

As far as I can tell, virtual table is backburnered based on the survey responses. That is my interpretation of their comments about the survey, so obviously I could be wrong, but it looked like they were looking to see what the biggest response from the survey is, and were going to head that direction.

Apr 16, 2009 22:38:00 It seems to me that the VTT has been sidelined and new tools that we have yet to hear of are being constructed.

I'm excited for these new tools, but... I still will miss the idea of having a VTT.

Apr 17, 2009 6:21:42 Given that they had to go and give us a huge banner add in the core three books for the product I would appriciate it if they would actually state a year later whether it is still in the works or not. That's all confirmation one way or the other, not implications from a survey.

Apr 17, 2009 11:06:14 Insider subscriber base has doubled since January. Yay, I only hope the starting number wasn't too small. At least it's increasing. I'd be really worried if it wasn't. I'm also looking foreward to more podcast type stuff.

I'm going to guess that the campaign tool for maps is the dungeon builder. They have to make this tool before they can make the game table. The game table would be useless if we don't have maps to play on.
