The D&D Virtual Table subscriber beta is open! As I write this, invitations are landing in thousands of DDI subscribers’ inboxes. If you’re a DDI subscriber and you’ve opted in (more on that below), check your email for an invitation.

This round of invitations is more than doubling the number of people involved in beta testing the D&D Virtual Table. That alone will put stress on the system—and that’s what we want! Try every facet of the table you can think of. Join sessions with friends and strangers; set up and run sessions yourself; tinker with it on your own.

If you encounter difficulties, have a question, or you have suggestions for how to make the table better, we want to hear about it. Post your comments and feedback in the forum. This tool is for you, and you’re helping to develop it, so make your opinions heard.

If you received an invitation and you’re not sure what to do next, follow the links in the email to the Beta community group for help and instructions.

If you’ve opted in but you haven’t gotten an invitation yet, be patient. More invitations will go out regularly. Invitees are selected randomly from all the subscribers who’ve asked to participate. If you want to be included, you need to be a DDI subscriber, you need to opt in to receive messages from Wizards, and you need to let us know that you want to “Become a Beta Tester.” Go to the Virtual Table webpage for instructions on how to do that; it takes about 30 seconds. If you’re selected, the invitation will be sent to the email address that you provide, so use a current one. It might be worthwhile checking your inbox filter every so often; you never know what it might sideline.

Even if you haven’t gotten your invitation yet, you can still drop by the forum to see what others have to say and to ask questions. And don’t delay signing up!
