#1 dnd4ftw Mar 10, 2014 12:52:12	My subscription of D&DI has expired recently and for now I have no money to subscribe again but my characters were made using character builder and I have lost my copy due to a lightning storm. There's a way to retrieve it back without having to subscribe again? I don't want to have acess to all features, I just want to get my campaign characters back.
#2 darkwarlock Mar 15, 2014 16:22:16	I think you're probably out of luck. On the plus side, when you do sign back up you'll find those characters waiting for you. They don't disappear with lapsed subscriptions as I found out to my great surprise several months back.
#3 Plaguescarred1 Mar 16, 2014 2:47:38	Characters created using the Online Character Builder remain in WoTC's database for 12 months. So if you re-subscribe before then, you should still have access to them and be able to export the file back to your computer.   From the D&D Insider: FAQ For Character Builder:   If I end my subscription, what happens to the characters I’ve created or imported to the Character Builder? Characters you’ve created on the current version or imported from the older version of the Character Builder will remain in our database for twelve months after the subscription expires. If you renew your subscription within that twelve month period, you will be able to access your characters again.
