| #1smugmugJul 02, 2009 16:14:58 | Character Visualizer Alpha 1.2 Known Issues: 1. Because our Q/A servers are not yet setup, you need to start the DDI Server Service before attempting to "sign in" to test the extended functionalities that will be available to D&DI subscribers (See Installation notes below). 2. Art for races other than Human is not fully updated / tuned. You can encounter issues and missing 3D assets or art when using non Human assets. Please only report any issues occurring when using Human assets. 3. Save to Vault is not working for this first alpha phase. We plan to have the vault database set up for the second part of the Alpha test, in March. 4. The names of the assets are not final, and start with a number for easier referencing when reporting bugs. KNOWN BUGS * Decals are broken for Human Female * On the Hip slots, weapons come in blade up instead of blade down * Some color palettes are not correctly associated to the asset they refer too (for example eyes use cloth palettes instead of eyes colors palettes, or hair use leather palette.. This is a data issue currently being worked on) * For any questions or comments, contact didier@wizards.com (Producer) or brenden.young@wizards.com (Q/A lead for D&DI). Found here. So where do I get this alpha or how can I sign up to it? :D |

| #7WolfStar76Jul 08, 2009 9:36:34 | ***SPECULATION*** I'd guess those are notes from the Character Visualizer as it appeared last year (where it was usable at GenCon - though there were many missing models, and a few bugs as well). Since the project was tabled while in alpha, I doubt any of us (and believe me I'll pull every VCL string I've got) will be getting a crack at it until the Adventure Tools are done. This is also very likely why the knowledge base article is now hidden from public view - no need getting us all excited about something we won't get to play with for a while longer. |
